Town of Bethel Info

The Town of Bethel has a five-member Selectboard that oversees town policy and critical decisions. Board members are elected to two- or three-year terms.

Beginning in 2024, Bethel will elect Selectboard members and all town officers by ballot voting in March. Voters will approve the town budget and other items at the annual Town Meeting, held the first Tuesday in March.

There are many other town officials and committees within town government.

White River Valley School Info

The White River Unified District (WRUD) operates the White River Valley Elementary, Middle and High Schools on the Bethel and Royalton campuses. It is part of the White River Valley Supervisory Union (WRVSU).

The WRUD Board includes three members from Bethel and three members from Royalton. Voters from both towns elect officers (board members) by ballot voting in March. They approve the school budget at the annual school meeting.
